The speed that an object needs to be traveling to break free of a planet or moon's gravity well and leave it without further propulsion. For example, a spacecraft leaving the surface of Earth needs to be going 7 miles per second, or nearly 25,000 miles per hour to leave without falling back to the surface or falling into orbit.
I've been thinking about "work" in this sense lately. I guess it's because at this point, I've worn a few different hats, with different results, and I rotate through them depending on the day. It's kind of funny when I meet someone and they ask what I do for a living. Some days I just play poker, other days I record video for my YouTube channel. On another day I'll hang out on a Zoom call with my fellow Lodge owners, or I'll be flying to/from Austin-Bergstrom airport for a MUG or livestream. Also! There will soon be much traveling as part of the Ambassador Team for the World Poker Tour. It's kind of a mouthful and a lot to cover during an introduction.
